The Indonesian national football team has recently announced the latest squad for the 18-team stage, which includes a total of 13 naturalized players. According to Ma Dekang, a reporter from Titan Sports, there are still multiple players whose naturalization process is currently underway in Indonesia.

The 27-man squad for the World Cup qualifiers announced by the Indonesian Football Association this time includes as many as 13 naturalized/mixed-race players. Among them, 11 are of Indonesian & Dutch mixed heritage, meaning one or both parents, or grandparents were born in Indonesia and thus obtained Indonesian citizenship. Most of these players are playing for teams in European leagues such as the Netherlands and Belgium.

Ma Dekang, a reporter from Titan Sports, stated that the Indonesian Football Association has not stopped its efforts to continue introducing naturalized players. It is reported that the materials for several players, including tall striker Mauro Jilstra, who plays for FC Volendam’s youth team in the Eerste Divisie, and Vitesse forward Miliano Jonathan, have been prepared and submitted to the Indonesian Football Association. These players have also clearly expressed their willingness to join the Indonesian national team, and the naturalization process has already begun.

Moreover, both players mentioned above were born in 2004, and their arrival will not only provide assistance on the offensive line but also serve the team for a long time in the future.
