Twente Coach: We Have Great Respect for Manchester United, But We Believe We Have a Chance to Win at Old Trafford

On September 25, in the first round of the Europa League, Twente will travel to play an away game against Manchester United. Twente’s head coach, Joseph Austin, stated before the match that although everyone in the team respects Manchester United, they still believe there is a chance to win away from home.

The Twente coach Austin said the team would not be afraid of Manchester United: “We are ready to confront our opponents and can create scoring opportunities. I believe we can beat Manchester United, even though achieving this goal won’t be easy, we have such determination.”

Austin then talked about the team’s strategy against Manchester United: “Whether it’s passing or transitions between attack and defense, we aim to do everything at the fastest pace possible. To win, you must perform better than your opponent in every aspect, and I need everyone on the field to be at their best. Our entire team has great respect for Manchester United, but we also have the full belief and willingness to play this game.”

It’s worth mentioning that Manchester United’s coach Erik ten Hag also has a deep connection with Twente, having played for the team for several seasons during his playing career.
