Again Lagging Behind! Manchester United Fails to Secure a Win in First Two Rounds of European Competitions, Remaining the Only One Among Seven Premier League Teams

On October 4th, Manchester United drew with their opponents in the first two rounds of the Europa League, thus becoming the only team among the seven Premier League teams competing in European competitions that has not yet secured a victory. Once again, Manchester United is lagging behind the other Premier League teams.

The Premier League teams have shown a strong momentum in this season’s European competitions. In the Champions League, Liverpool and Aston Villa both won both of their first two matches, while Manchester City and Arsenal achieved one win and one draw in their first two matches. The prospects for advancement in the Champions League look promising for all Premier League teams.

In the Europa League, Tottenham Hotspur also demonstrated excellent form, winning both of their first two matches. In the Europa Conference League, Chelsea started off with a comfortable 4-2 victory over Genk in the first round.

Compared to the strong performances of other Premier League teams, Manchester United once again fell short in the European competitions. In this season’s Europa League campaign, Manchester United drew 1-1 with Twente at home in the first round and then drew 3-3 with Porto away in the second round, ending both matches in draws in the first two rounds.
