L'Equipe: Dembélé Dissatisfied with Enrique's Tactical Setup, Seeks Greater Freedom

On October 5, according to French media L’Equipe, Dembélé has reconciled with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) coach Enrique and has returned to training. He is set to play in the away match against Nice in the league.

Dembélé had previously engaged in a heated argument with coach Enrique and was late for training without any justification. PSG coach Enrique imposed disciplinary action on him, which led to his exclusion from the squad for the away Champions League match against Arsenal.

Following Mbappé’s departure from PSG, Dembélé hoped to replace Mbappé as the team’s offensive core and expressed a desire for greater freedom in attack. He was even more disappointed when Enrique appointed Vitinha as the team’s designated penalty taker.

Dembélé has also criticized Enrique’s tactical setup. Enrique has accused him of being too selfish on the field and ignoring his teammates. Dembélé feels undervalued and restricted by Enrique in terms of his offensive autonomy.

To date this season, Dembélé has contributed 4 goals and 4 assists in 7 games for PSG, making him an absolute key player in the team’s offense.
