Italian Media: If Juventus Fails to Renew Vlahovic's Contract, They Will Plan to Sign Osimhen

In the fifth round of Serie A, the match between Juventus and Napoli ended in a dull 0-0 draw, with Vlahovic being substituted after only 45 minutes for technical reasons. Since the start of the season, Vlahovic’s form has not been ideal; he only scored twice in Juventus’ 3-0 victory over Verona in Serie A. In other matches, Vlahovic failed to score any goals. After witnessing Vlahovic’s poor performance against Napoli, former Italian star Cassano criticized the Serbian forward.

Cassano said about Juventus striker Vlahovic: “Frankly, I don’t like Vlahovic. He lacks character and is always hysterical, constantly complaining during games. Milik is more suitable to stay on the field because he better fits the coach’s tactical ideas and works closely with his teammates.”

In fact, the contract renewal negotiations between Vlahovic and Juventus have not been smooth and have made no progress so far. As is known, Vlahovic’s contract with Juventus expires in the summer of 2026, so Juventus plans to extend his contract until 2028 or 2029.

According to a report by the well-known Italian media outlet calciomercato, if Juventus cannot renew Vlahovic’s contract, they will sell him to avoid losing both the player and transfer fee. Should Vlahovic leave, Juventus will certainly need to strengthen their attack, with Osimhen being their top target. However, according to teamtalk, Chelsea is still interested in signing Osimhen. Besides Osimhen, Jonathan David, who plays for Lille in Ligue 1, is also a potential target for Juventus.

This summer window, Osimhen joined Galatasaray in the Turkish Super League on loan. So far, Osimhen has played two games for Galatasaray, providing two assists but has yet to score any goals.
