UK Media: If Man City Faces Severe Penalties, Man United and Chelsea Will Spend Heavily to Sign Haaland, but the Player Might Consider Leaving the Premier League

On September 22, according to UK media reports, if Manchester City faces severe penalties, then Manchester United and Chelsea will spend heavily to sign Erling Haaland. However, Haaland himself has no intention of joining another Premier League club; if such a situation arises, he would choose to play in another league.

The hearing for the 115 charges against Manchester City has commenced, and if the Blues are found guilty of violations, they could face severe penalties, including potential expulsion from the Premier League. Should this happen, the majority of their players, including Haaland, would likely leave the club. If Haaland were to ultimately depart Manchester City, his transfer fee would be expected to start at a minimum of €120 million.

It is understood that Manchester United and Chelsea are also prepared to invest significantly to acquire Haaland should Manchester City face severe penalties. Reports suggest that Haaland has contingency plans in place and would not join another Premier League team if he leaves Manchester City, instead seeking new challenges in other leagues.

The most likely destinations for Haaland outside the Premier League are Real Madrid and Barcelona. Florentino Pérez dreams of securing Haaland to pair him with Mbappé, forming an unbeatable duo; Barcelona also hopes that acquiring Haaland will help them return to the ranks of Europe’s top-tier teams.
