Ancelotti: Real Madrid Received Too Many Yellow Cards for Protesting; No Conflict with Garcia

On the morning of September 25, Real Madrid defeated Alavés 3-2 in the latest round of La Liga matches. At the post-match press conference, Ancelotti reiterated his views from a few days ago: “Standards have changed, and we must adapt to these changes. During the match, we received four or five yellow cards for protesting the referee’s decisions. We must reduce such behavior; it’s quite simple. We must adapt to the new rule system.”

When talking about Mbappé’s situation, Ancelotti said: “Mbappé felt a bit tired, so he requested to be substituted. However, his overall condition is good, and I believe our front line performed excellently.”

Regarding the difficulties encountered towards the end of the game, Ancelotti said: “Although we do not wish for such situations to occur, they sometimes do. Notably, the team’s performance in the first 60 minutes was very good, which gives us confidence for the future.”

When asked about Endrick’s kicking action and his conversation with Luis García, Ancelotti replied: “I did not watch the replay of that match, so I cannot comment on it. However, we communicated about this matter after the game, and there were no issues or conflicts.”

Regarding what he said to the referee, Ancelotti explained: “I told the referee that I thought the yellow cards for protesting were excessive, and I also promised to do my best to prevent the players from continuing to do so.”

Mbappé, feeling discomfort in his left leg muscles, will undergo further examinations. When leaving the field, his expression was not very pleasant. Ancelotti confirmed that the main reason Mbappé requested to be substituted was due to fatigue.
