In June 2023, Los Angeles FC fought their way into the final of the Campeones Cup, where they faced the Mexican team León. Di Yorio helped León take the lead in the 20th minute. Despite LAFC’s subsequent counterattacks and a total of 14 shots throughout the game, they failed to score and missed out on the Campeones Cup title.

In August 2023, the final of the Leagues Cup was contested between Los Angeles FC and the Mexican team Monterrey. LAFC scored just two minutes into the match and led 2-0 at halftime. However, the situation changed dramatically in the second half as Monterrey staged a comeback, overturning the deficit and denying LAFC the Leagues Cup title.

The North Cup final held in September 2023 saw LAFC face the Mexican team Tigres for the third time. Both teams contributed to an intense match that saw one player from each side sent off. The game ended goalless after 90 minutes, and in the ensuing penalty shootout, LAFC lost 2-4 to Tigres, marking three unsuccessful attempts at winning a title in 2023.

In August 2024, LAFC’s nightmare continued as they reached the Leagues Cup final once again but fell 1-3 to Columbus Crew, suffering their fourth consecutive final defeat.
