Recently, Fabregas, the coach of Como, during a live radio interview with BBC Radio 5, advised young players not to indulge in luxury but rather invest in good nutrition and rest by hiring a chef.
He said, “Sometimes, I tell some young players that the best investment they can make is not necessarily buying a private jet or a luxury car, even if they are not earning a fortune. Instead, they should consider hiring a good chef for their home and spending money on mental coaching. If they are unhappy with the intensity of their current physical trainer’s workouts and feel the need to do more, they should first ensure they get a good night’s sleep. Spend your money on things that will add value to your future. Believe me, this is a story that applies to 99.5% of my career. Once you start feeling uncomfortable, once you’ve achieved fame, once you’ve played many games, your physical and mental states will weaken, and you’ll start questioning why you should still put in effort. You’ve done it twice already, so why should you do it again? They don’t care about this; it’s just their life.”
