Italian Media: Roma CEO Labeled as a Demon by Radical Fans and is Now Under Police Protection

According to La Repubblica, an Italian newspaper, the dismissal of former coach Daniele De Rossi by Roma’s CEO, Lena Soluk, has sparked significant outrage among fans. Due to concerns over her safety, security authorities in the city of Rome have decided to place Lena, along with her children, under police protection temporarily.

Roma announced a sudden change in coaching staff this week, replacing the highly respected former player De Rossi with new coach Damir Juric. This decision caused considerable discontent among supporters, leading to unrest and street gatherings.

On Friday night, Roma fans displayed banners calling Lena “the Devil of Roma,” indicating that the level of dissatisfaction had reached new heights. Currently, hardcore fan groups have called for a larger protest before the upcoming match against Udinese.

This match will mark the debut of new coach Juric, but the fans at the Stadio Olimpico in the Italian capital are clearly not convinced by the new Croatian coach, still pained by the departure of the 41-year-old De Rossi.

With the anger directed at the club’s CEO, the current situation has raised concerns among the authorities in Rome, who have arranged for police protection for Lena as tensions escalate.
