German Media: Bayern Munich Plans to Offer Top Salary Extension to Musiala to Prevent Manchester City and Real Madrid from Poaching Him

According to German Sky Sports, in order to prevent poaching by Manchester City and Real Madrid, Bayern Munich plans to offer a top salary extension to the 21-year-old Musiala.

Musiala’s contract with Bayern Munich is due to expire in June 2026, with one and a half years remaining. The club management hopes to clarify his future as soon as possible. Renewing Musiala’s contract is a top priority for Bayern Munich. According to information from Sky Sports, specific negotiations are already underway, and Musiala himself has expressed willingness to renew. However, this is not a decision that can be made within a few days. Currently, Musiala has not yet entered into negotiations with giants like Real Madrid or Manchester City.

Bayern Munich still has ample time and hopes to offer Musiala a new contract extending to 2029 or 2030. By then, Musiala’s annual income, including bonuses, could reach 25 million euros, making him one of the highest-paid players at Bayern Munich. Harry Kane currently earns approximately 25 million euros per year. Following him are Neuer, Thomas Müller, Kimmich, and Sane, each earning between 19 to 20 million euros annually, while Musiala’s current annual salary is between 8 to 9 million euros.

Bayern Munich chairman Herbert Hainer stated in September that the club will do everything possible “to keep him at Bayern for the long term. In my view, he has the potential to become a second Thomas Müller for Bayern Munich and play here for the next 20 years.”
