Brazil Plans to Change Kit Sponsor; Adidas Offers 0 Million Per Year

According to UOL, the Brazilian national team is set to end its nearly 30-year partnership with Nike and is about to switch kit sponsors to Adidas.

It is reported that Nike’s first renewal offer was rejected by the Brazilian Football Confederation, leading to the Brazilian national team signing a mega contract with Adidas starting from 2026. Adidas’ offer is said to be far superior to Nike’s, lasting for 10 years at $100 million per year (€89.7 million based on current exchange rates), totaling $1 billion (€897 million). This amount is similar to what Adidas pays to sponsor the German team.

Nike, which has sponsored the Brazilian team since 1997, currently pays $35 million (€31.3 million) annually. Adidas previously sponsored the Brazilian team in 1983 and between 1978-79.

According to UOL, Puma may still make an offer but is currently more willing to wait. The Brazilian Football Confederation expects Nike to make another offer in October.
