Notably, according to statistical data, this win is also Pioli’s first victory coaching an overseas team. If youth team achievements are not counted, Pioli previously coached 13 clubs, all from Italian teams.
Pioli is currently 58 years old and has previously coached multiple teams such as Bologna, Parma, Lazio, Inter Milan, Fiorentina, and AC Milan during his coaching career. In May of this year, AC Milan officially announced Pioli’s departure, ending his five-year tenure with the Rossoneri. On September 18, he officially took over as head coach of Al-Nassr, replacing Castro.
