Afeter Naturalizing Multiple Players, Indonesia's Team Value Exceeds Ten Million Euros, Surpassing Qatar to Rank Eighth in Asia

The addition of two new naturalized players, Mace Siegers and Eliano Reinders, has significantly enhanced both the strength and value of the Indonesian team, allowing them to surpass Asian champions Qatar and become the eighth most valuable national team in Asia.

Indonesia is committed to improving the quality of its naturalized players. On September 30, Mace Siegers and Eliano Reinders officially completed their citizenship oaths and will represent the Indonesian national team in matches against Bahrain and China. With these two new members, the total number of naturalized players in the history of the Indonesian national team has reached seventeen. In the upcoming matches against Bahrain and China, head coach Shin Tae-yong may field a lineup composed entirely of naturalized players.

The joining of several naturalized players not only strengthened the power of the Indonesian team but also increased the team’s total value by more than seven million euros, reaching 24.53 million euros. Among them, Mace Siegers’ personal market value reached seven million euros, almost equal to the entire Vietnam national team’s total market value. The total market value of the Indonesian national team is now more than three times that of the Vietnamese and Thai teams.

Mace Siegers is one of the most expensive defenders at Twente, a club in the Dutch Eredivisie. He performed excellently in a recent match against Manchester United, helping his team achieve a draw, even outperforming some well-known defenders at Manchester United. At just 23 years old, Siegers has significant potential for further growth in his market value, which will greatly enhance the overall value of the Indonesian national team.

With a personal market value of seven million euros, Mace Siegers not only surpassed Akram Afif, the best player of the 2023 Asian Cup (six million euros), but also pushed the Indonesian national team above Qatar on the market value ranking. Other high-value players in the Indonesian national team include Tom Hiariej (three million euros) and Jay Idzes (2.5 million euros). Notably, naturalized players account for nearly 90% of the Indonesian national team’s market value, while the value of local players is relatively low, only a few ten thousand euros.

If Indonesia continues to introduce high-level naturalized players, the team’s market value is expected to rise further, possibly even surpassing the Saudi Arabian national team, whose current market value is only five million euros higher than Indonesia’s.
