U20 Asian Cup Teams Qualifying for the Finals: Led by China, Japan, Korea, and Australia; North Korea Returns after Years; Vietnam Misses Out

The final round of the U20 Asian Cup qualifiers concluded in the early hours of September 30. The 16 teams that have qualified for next year’s 2025 China U20 Asian Cup have also been determined.

The 16 teams are as follows:

China (host country), Syria, Uzbekistan, Korea, Saudi Arabia, North Korea, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Qatar, Yemen, Kyrgyzstan, Australia, Thailand, and Jordan.

Among them, Yemen, Kyrgyzstan, Australia, Thailand, and Jordan qualified as the top five second-place finishers from their respective groups in the preliminary round. Vietnam narrowly missed out on qualifying for the U20 Asian Cup finals due to a goal difference, finishing behind Jordan.

The U20 Asian Cup will be held in Shenzhen from February 6 to February 23, 2025.
