On October 1st, according to Catalan media World Sports, Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr. mocked Atlético Madrid midfielder Koke during the Madrid Derby with the words, “I have two Champions League titles, and you are nothing.”
The incident occurred in the 65th minute of the match when Vinicius Jr. won a free-kick in an attacking position through what appeared to be a dive, leading the referee to show a yellow card to Atlético defender Llorente. Atlético midfielder Koke was clearly unhappy with the Brazilian winger’s actions and approached him to argue.
Vinicius Jr. then responded, “I have two Champions League titles, and you are nothing.”
The 32-year-old Koke has reached the Champions League final twice with Atlético, losing both times in 2014 and 2016 to Cristiano Ronaldo’s Real Madrid.
