The MLS Vancouver Whitecaps club officially announced that they have signed Southampton midfielder Armstrong.
The 32-year-old Armstrong came through the Dundee United youth system and joined Southampton in 2018, making a total of 214 appearances for the team across all competitions, scoring 25 goals and providing 19 assists. In terms of international appearances, Armstrong has represented Scotland 51 times and was part of the squad that participated in this summer’s European Championship.
This summer, Armstrong became a free agent upon the expiration of his contract with Southampton and will sign with the Vancouver Whitecaps until December 31, 2026.
