Bouldering World Cup Concludes: Chinese Team Wins Gold and Bronze, Deng Lijuan Secures Annual Championship Title

According to the , the final leg of this season’s Bouldering World Cup was held in Seoul, South Korea from October 2nd to 6th. This leg also decided the annual champions for men’s and women’s bouldering, difficulty, and speed events.

The Chinese team sent eight speed climbers—Wu Peng, Long Jinbao, Wang Xingshang, Long Jianguo, Deng Lijuan, Zhou Yafei, Wang Shengyan, and Zhang Shaoqin—and four all-around athletes—Zhang Yuetong, Luo Zhilu, Chen Xuanzhen, and Hu Junzhe—to compete.

With the conclusion of the speed finals at this World Cup leg, the final rankings for the season’s speed events were determined: Chinese athlete Deng Lijuan, Polish athlete Natalia Kalucka, and South Korean athlete Jeong Ji-eun placed first, second, and third respectively in the women’s speed event.
