The first Madrid derby of this La Liga season is set to take place at 3:00 on September 30th at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium. According to Sport, Atletico Madrid is planning to work with all home fans to create a massive 360-degree tifo that will encircle the stadium, in support of their “rojiblancos” players on the field.
Retail tickets for this match sold out weeks ago, and the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium, which can hold up to 70,460 people, is expected to see one of its highest attendance rates in history.
It is understood that Atletico will place a small puzzle piece on each seat in the home stands on match day. When the game is about to start, all home fans will raise their puzzle pieces together to form a giant tifo that encircles the stadium.
In addition, the club has specifically encouraged fans to arrive early on match day, starting to cheer for the players from the pre-match warm-up stage, uniting in support against their fierce rivals.
