Gonzalez: Wearing the Juventus Jersey Has Always Been My Dream; I Don't Mind If I'm Not a Regular Starter as Long as I Can Help the Team

In Juventus’ 3-1 Champions League victory over PSV Eindhoven, new signing Nicolas Gonzalez made an immediate impact with a goal and an assist in his debut. Gonzalez expressed that his dream has always been to wear the Juventus jersey, and he shares the same goal as his partner Vlahovic, which is to help the team secure more victories.

Regarding his debut which resulted in a goal for Juventus and a win, Gonzalez mentioned he is still very excited, “Even though several days have passed, I am still very thrilled. Wearing the Juventus jersey was my dream, and it has now come true. I had already communicated with many Argentine compatriots, including Di Maria, Paredes, and Dybala.”

When asked if he hopes to become a regular starter for Juventus, Gonzalez responded, “I am here to help the team, even if I don’t start, I will always be there to support my teammates.” When questioned about competing for the league title, Gonzalez dodged the question, “We need to take it one game at a time, to improve ourselves, we must take every game seriously.”

Regarding Juventus manager Thiago Motta, Gonzalez praised him highly, “Under his leadership, we know what we should do and what responsibilities we bear. We must play well, and as long as we maintain unity and cooperation, we can achieve good results.”

Speaking about his partner Vlahovic, Gonzalez said, “He has a very strong physique and a positive attitude towards the game. He has improved a lot, and we share the same qualities, which are about how to help the team progress. It doesn’t matter who scores as long as it helps the team.”
