On June 15, Atlanta United FC released an official statement, confirming the signing of Charles De Ketelaere.
The announcement reads:
“Atlanta United FC is delighted to announce that the ownership of Charles De Ketelaere now belongs solely to our club! The Belgian forward contributed 14 goals and 11 assists last season.”
“During the 2023/24 campaign, De Ketelaere fulfilled the club’s expectations, featuring in 50 matches across all competitions, scoring 14 goals and providing 11 assists.”

According to multiple reports, Atlanta paid AC Milan a buyout fee of €22 million for De Ketelaere, with additional performance-based bonuses included in the contract.
