Injury Crisis! Ben White Doubtful and Odegaard Set to Miss Out as Arsenal Face PSG in Champions League

Although Arsenal secured a 4-2 victory over Leicester City in the Premier League, they are plagued by injuries ahead of their home Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain. Ben White and Carlo Pfister’s participation is doubtful, while Merino, Odegaard, Zinchenko, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and Kieran Tierney are confirmed to be absent.

Despite being named on the bench for the match against Manchester City, Ben White missed the game against Leicester City and was also absent from Monday’s open training session due to a groin injury, making it unlikely that he will be fit for the match against PSG.

Since joining Arsenal in the summer transfer window, Pfister has been battling knee issues. He suffered another setback during the match against Leicester City. Ahead of the game, Arteta stated that the situations with Ben White and Pfister still need to be monitored.

Merino’s injury is more severe, with an expected return date in mid-to-late October, ruling him out of the clash against PSG. Arsenal captain Odegaard, who is nursing an ankle injury, does not have a confirmed return date yet. According to British media, he might return as early as late October.

Zinchenko picked up an injury during the international break and has not resumed training, with his return date unknown. Defender Takehiro Tomiyasu, after an injury last season, has not had the chance to feature this new season and will definitely miss the match against PSG. Additionally, although Kieran Tierney was included in Arsenal’s Premier League squad for this season, he has not yet returned to training, leaving his comeback date uncertain.
