In an interview with ESPN, Bayer Leverkusen’s Dutch right-back Frenkie de Jong addressed the speculation about his potential move to Barcelona.
De Jong told ESPN, “The rumors about Barcelona? They’re just rumors, I don’t focus on rumors!” He added, “Rumors are rumors, anyone can say anything.”
Last season, De Jong made 47 appearances for Leverkusen, scoring 14 goals and providing 10 assists. Apart from his denial, it would be challenging for Barcelona to secure his signing before their financial situation improves.
