The German Euro Cup is set to kick off early on June 15, and ahead of the tournament, The Post has published an article stating that statistically, teams wearing blue jerseys have the highest probability of winning the European Championship.
The Post reports that since 1980, out of the 34 teams that have competed in the Euro finals, only 18% have worn blue kits. However, over one-third of the eventual champions have had blue as their primary color. France triumphed in 1984 and 2000, both times donning blue. Greece’s unexpected victory in 2004 also featured blue elements in their kit.
According to statistics, teams in blue jerseys have a 72% chance of advancing from the group stage to the knockout rounds, compared to just 44% for teams in the most common color, red, and 39% for those in white.
