Manchester United Pursuit of Hoffenheim Forward Mocked by Fans: “Another Youngster? We’ll Be a Midtable Team”

According to reports, Manchester United is targeting a summer move for Hoffenheim forward Maximilian Beller, with the club hoping the acquisition would aid Wout Weghorst. However, this has sparked discontent among the Red Devils’ supporters.

As per German publication Bild, United has enquired about Beller, a 21-year-old striker who scored 16 goals in 33 Bundesliga appearances for Hoffenheim last season. It’s understood that his release clause stands at £27.5 million, which Manchester United would need to pay in full to secure his services. Liverpool, Brentford, Nottingham Forest, and even Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen are also said to be interested in the youngster.

Nonetheless, the fans have not been receptive to the potential signing. Some comments include: “Hey guys, we’re looking at a midtable team next season.” “Another young forward? United needs an experienced striker, around 27 years old, not a kid.” “Signing from the Bundesliga? Absolutely not!”

On the other hand, there are voices of support: “Good value for money at this price.” “To be honest, we should focus on these cost-effective signings.”
