Atlanta midfielder Ederson spoke to Spanish newspaper AS about the speculation linking him with a move to Liverpool.
Ederson remarked, “I am very happy at Atlanta. I’ve just won an important title and have fully integrated into the team. I’m not concerned about my future; right now, my focus is on the Brazilian national team, and I want to make a good impression on the coach as it’s my first call-up.”
When asked about his future plans, he said, “I don’t know. I’ve thought about it a lot. I love Italy, I’ve adapted well to life here, but I’m also very interested in the Premier League. I’m still developing, so I’m not sure if I’ll stay in Italy. I believe I still have to prove myself, whether I stay here or go elsewhere, the growth will continue.”
Ederson, who turns 25 next month, made 53 appearances for Atlanta this season, scoring seven goals. He helped the club win the Europa League and finish as runners-up in the Italian Cup, securing a Champions League spot. During their Europa League triumph, he featured in Atlanta’s 3-0 quarter-final victory over Liverpool away from home.
