On October 31, La Liga officially announced that they have requested the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) to postpone matches including Real Madrid vs Valencia.
The official statement reads: Given the extreme weather conditions in Spain that have caused numerous casualties, particularly affecting the Valencia region, LaLiga, at the request of the clubs, has asked the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) to postpone five matches: Villarreal vs Rayo Vallecano, Valencia vs Real Madrid, Castellón vs Ferrol, Edenes vs Huesca, and Levante vs Málaga.
Additionally, a minute’s silence will be observed before the remaining matches to honor those who have lost their lives due to the extreme weather. We express our condolences to the families and friends of the victims and to all Spanish football clubs, and we stand in solidarity with the families of the victims and the missing.
