According to journalist Patrick Berger of Sky Germany, Borussia Dortmund head coach Edin Terzic has decided to resign, with the club currently in internal discussions about the matter.
The 41-year-old Terzic joined Dortmund as an assistant coach in 2018 and has twice served as the first-team manager in December 2020 and July 2022, overseeing a total of 125 matches with a record of 73 wins, 24 draws, and 28 losses.
Last season, under Terzic’s guidance, Dortmund reached the UEFA Champions League final but ultimately lost 0-2 to Real Madrid. In the league, they finished fifth.
It is understood that Terzic’s resignation stems primarily from disagreements with senior players like Mats Hummels.
