At the venue for the opening match and ceremony, the Allianz Arena, journalists noticed a glaring error on the media center’s panels – the Portuguese flag is supposed to have green on the left and red on the right, but the organizers inadvertently displayed it as a mirror image.
Fortunately, other aspects and details of the media center operation were reassuring, with over 300 journalists being well accommodated. This small incident did not disrupt the host’s overall organization.
