On June 19th, in the first round of Group F of the European Championship, Portugal came back to beat Czech Republic 2-1. After the match, B Fernandes gave his thoughts on the game.
B Fernandes commented on the match, “We had control for most of the time, but we conceded from a brilliant long-range strike by the opponent. However, we managed to turn it around thanks to our spirit and resilience.”
He addressed the challenges the team faced, “Their compact defense made the game very difficult, sometimes leading me to make some unwise passes. But if we can recover well after losing the ball, we need not worry too much about counterattacks. In the first half, I made some mistakes, but taking risks is part of the game. As long as I manage to play those passes, we create more chances. I’m not afraid to make errors on the pitch; it’s part of the game, and I have reliable teammates to support me.”
