New Manchester United star Menjoo had an impressive season, which earned him a call-up to the England national team. In a recent interview, he shared his thoughts on his journey.
Reflecting on his progress, Menjoo said, “Things have moved so quickly, but I’ve tried to stay grounded and take it step by step. So far, that approach has worked.”
On being selected for the national team, he remarked, “Whether you’re a professional player or a child watching at home, everyone dreams of wearing their country’s colors and scoring for the national team. That dream never fades. If I get the chance to contribute, whether in attack or defense, I’m happy to do whatever it takes to help the team.”
“When I was younger, I loved playing as a striker and scoring goals. But now, I also enjoy defending, both for my club and country. Sometimes, I get frustrated playing up front because I don’t get much of the ball. I love having control, so I’ve moved back into a more central midfield position, and I can also play on the wing.”
Menjoo: As a kid, I loved scoring as a striker, but now I enjoy playing multiple positions, particularly controlling the midfield. Author:Sports UEFA.Please indicate the source when reproduced:https://www.sportsuefa.com/football-world/8335.html
