According to German publication Bild, Liverpool is interested in signing German national team defender Anton this summer.
Last season, the 27-year-old Anton made 37 appearances for Stuttgart across all competitions, starting 36 of those matches, and contributed one goal and four assists. His impressive performances earned him a spot in Germany’s Euro Cup squad.
It is understood that Anton’s contract includes a release clause of €19 million, with both Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen also monitoring the player’s situation.
