On June 17, Shanghai Shenhua officially announced the renewal of its contract with player João Carlos Teixeira (Teixeira).
Statement reads:
After friendly negotiations and reaching an agreement with the player, Shanghai Shenhua Football Club has completed the contract extension with João Carlos Teixeira. The new contract runs until December 31, 2025.
Teixeira played 30 matches for Shenhua in the past one and a half seasons, scoring 7 goals and providing 3 assists. He contributed to the team’s victory in the 2023 FA Cup and the 2024 Chinese Super Cup. So far this season, Teixeira has shown excellent form, playing a vital role in the club’s attacking tactics with his outstanding technical abilities and connection play. We look forward to him maintaining his exceptional performance and continuing to contribute alongside Shenhua in the upcoming matches!
