The draw ceremony for the Paris Olympics Women’s Volleyball tournament, dividing teams into three tiers, has been confirmed. Details are as follows:
First Tier: France (Group A), Brazil (Group B), Italy (Group C);
Second Tier: Turkey, Poland, United States;
Third Tier: China, Japan, Netherlands;
Fourth Tier: Serbia, Dominican Republic, Kenya.
The 12 participating teams in the Paris Olympics Women’s Volleyball will be divided into three groups of four each. As the host, France automatically occupies the first seed in Group A. Brazil and Italy, ranked second and first in the world respectively, take the first seeds in Groups B and C. The remaining nine teams are allocated into three tiers based on their world rankings, with China, currently ranked sixth, placed in the third tier. The principle of avoiding teams from the same tier in the same group will apply during the draw.
