Before Nice’s home match against Monaco, head coach Haise stated that midfielder Tanguy Ndombele would not be available for this game, but is close to a full recovery and returning to the pitch.
Since joining Nice this summer, Ndombele has performed well. Unfortunately, he suffered an injury during the match against Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month and has been in recovery since then. To date, Ndombele has made 8 appearances for Nice this season, contributing 1 goal and 1 assist.
Speaking about Ndombele’s latest condition, Haise said: “His recovery this week has been very good, and he has started to increase the intensity of his rehabilitation training. After our assessment, we decided not to include him in the squad for this round of the league, as the risk of bringing him on as a substitute outweighs the benefits. However, he can return to team training next week and has a chance to make a comeback in the match against Brest.”
