The opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics will take place at 1:30 AM tomorrow morning (local time). This is also the first time in history that the opening ceremony will be held outside of a stadium. This 33rd edition of the Summer Olympic Games will officially open on July 26th and conclude on August 11th, spanning a total of 16 days. The games will feature 32 sports with 329 events. Among these, breaking, skateboarding, sport climbing, and surfing have been added as new sports.
The Chinese delegation for this Paris Olympics consists of 716 members, including 405 athletes: 136 male and 269 female athletes. The average age of the athletes is 25 years old, with the oldest being 37-year-old track and field athlete Liu Hong, and the youngest being 11-year-old skateboarder Zheng Haohao.
