As: Ansu Fati impresses in first strength test, player in good condition

July 5 – According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Barcelona forward Ansu Fati has made an excellent impression in his first strength test during the team’s pre-season preparations. The club’s new fitness coach, Julio Tous, has stated that the player is in good physical condition and ready for competition.

The media outlet reports that the young striker recently took the opportunity to meet with sporting director Deco, who provided a clear and transparent outlook on the club’s plans for him. It was conveyed that Hansi Flick is willing to give Ansu a chance in pre-season, and it will be up to the player’s performance to convince the German coach.

Ansu is not looking to waste time and took the first step in his quest to impress Flick this Tuesday. Under the supervision of fitness coach Tous, he underwent a strength test. As Marca understands, Ansu performed exceptionally well and scored highly in the assessment. With his good physical condition, he is ready to compete – a crucial requirement to stay at Barcelona.

At 21 years old, Ansu Fati spent last season on loan at English Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion, making 19 appearances, only three of which were starts, scoring two goals. His current market value, as per Transfermarkt, is around 25 million euros. Previously, he had been the wearer of Barcelona’s iconic number 10 jersey, but after major knee injuries, his performances have not met expectations.
