According to “London Football”, Chelsea hopes to complete up to 17 deals in the last three days of the summer transfer window, including more blockbuster signings.
Chelsea has already brought in 11 new players during the summer transfer window, and 16 players have left Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea has spent over £200 million to bring in players such as Pedro Neto, Joao Felix, and Hall. At the same time, several academy-trained players, including Ian Maatsen and Conor Gallagher, have also left the club.
Despite having completed many transfers this summer, Chelsea still hopes to complete another 17 deals before the transfer window closes on Friday night local time.
Sterling is one of their main targets to be moved out. The Blues hope to trade Sterling for Manchester United’s Sancho, although the Red Devils have already agreed to sell Sancho to Juventus. Additionally, it is reported that Maresca still intends to sign Brentford’s forward Ivan Toney.
This deal will help free up Lukaku. This Belgian striker is close to transferring to Napoli for £38 million.
Currently, Maresca is conducting individual training sessions with 13 Chelsea players. He has clearly stated that these players are not part of his plans and suggested they seek new clubs themselves. These players include goalkeepers Bergstrom and Kepa. After the signing of Philip Jensen this summer, these two goalkeepers are no longer needed by the team. Kepa is expected to be loaned to Bournemouth, while Bergstrom has yet to find a new home.
Ben Chilwell is also linked with Manchester United. Axel Disasi is another player who may leave Chelsea within the remaining time of the transfer window.
The following are the 17 deals Chelsea hopes to complete before the transfer window closes:
Signings:
Ivan Toney, Sancho
Departures: Lukaku, Kepa, Bergstrom, Chilwell, Tomori, Chukwuemeka, Sterling, Disasi, Davide Washington, Angelo Gabriel, Alex Matos, David Datro Fofana, Harvey Vale, Tino Anjorin, Armando Broja
