At last night’s Ballon d’Or ceremony, George Weah, the father of Juventus player Tim Weah and former AC Milan forward, spoke about his son and Juventus.
He said, “When I was young, I watched Juventus matches because of Platini. I love Juventus, but I never played for them.”
Michel Platini was among the top 10 in the Ballon d’Or for seven consecutive years (1979 to 1985).
At the Ballon d’Or ceremony, George Weah said, “Football was my life, and it still is. Everyone knows Juventus, and although I loved Juventus, I was also dedicated at Milan. I fell in love with Juventus because of Platini. I didn’t have the opportunity to play there, but now my son plays for Juventus.”
