On the afternoon of August 5, the men’s 25-meter rapid fire pistol event at the Paris Olympics entered the final round, with Chinese athletes Li Yuehong and Wang Xinjie winning gold and bronze medals, respectively.
Notably, this is the third time that 35-year-old Li Yuehong has participated in the Olympics. Previously, he won bronze medals at both the Rio and Tokyo Olympics.
On the Paris Olympic stage, Li Yuehong performed steadily, finally tasting the sweetness of a gold medal. For Li Yuehong, who joined the national team back in 2009, 15 years of persistence has been no easy feat.
After the match, TEAMCHINA, the Chinese National Team, posted on social media, “Timeless through the years, carving out a legacy of dedication and passion! Congratulations to Li Yuehong!”
With this, the Chinese shooting team has secured five golds, two silvers, and two bronze medals at the Paris Olympics so far.
