In the thrilling match on the early morning of July 15th, the Spanish national team triumphed over the English team with a 2-1 victory, earning them the championship title of Euro 2024.
After the game, Fan Zhiyi, former Asian Footballer of the Year, shared his thoughts on this year’s Euro tournament. He expressed some regret that his favored team (England) did not clinch the title, but he still congratulated Spain on winning their fourth Euro championship in history.
Fan Zhiyi posted on his social media: “The Euro 2024 matches are coming to an end, and there’s a slight tinge of regret as the teams I backed fell short. Congratulations to Spain; this is the magic of football, it’s about more than just winning or losing. I also hope that Guan and I, the ‘Guan-Fan’ duo, can continue beyond Euro 2024 and hopefully meet up again in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico in two years!”
