On June 14, FIFA announced the newest women’s football world rankings, with both Japan and North Korea’s women’s teams entering the top ten.
The Chinese women’s team ranks 19th globally in this edition of the rankings and fourth among AFC (Asian Football Confederation) members, trailing Japan (7th), North Korea (10th), and Australia (12th).

1 — Spain’s Women’s Team
2 — France’s Women’s Team
3 — England’s Women’s Team
4 — Germany’s Women’s Team
5 — USA’s Women’s Team
6 — Sweden’s Women’s Team
7 — Japan’s Women’s Team
8 — Canada’s Women’s Team
9 — Brazil’s Women’s Team
10 — North Korea’s Women’s Team
