According to reports from Football News, the Chinese Football Association held an online video conference on September 25th for the new season’s admission process, emphasizing that all clubs must effectively resolve wage arrears issues.
The report stated that the Chinese Football Association convened an online video conference on the afternoon of September 25th with all clubs from the Super League, China League One, and China League Two, announcing the start time for the new season’s admission process and soliciting opinions and suggestions from the clubs on certain specific measures. Each club sent representatives to attend the meeting.
During the meeting, the Football Association mainly discussed the submission times and requirements for three types of documents. First, the admission materials; clubs wishing to participate in the 2025 season of various league levels can submit their admission materials from October 10th to November 25th. Second, concerning the relocation of clubs, the Football Association generally agrees to relocations, but the precondition is that clubs must notify the FA as soon as possible, with a deadline of December 20th. Third, regarding club name changes and share transfer documents, clubs intending to make changes need to submit the relevant documents by December 31st.
In terms of key admission materials, the Football Association reminded all clubs that the materials should include complete documentation confirming the payment of team personnel salaries and bonuses, but it did not mention whether bank statements of players’ and coaches’ salaries were required. At the same time, the Football Association stated that clubs facing difficulties and issues could notify the FA early, and the FA would try its best to assist in resolving problems. However, most wage arrears are the clubs’ own issues, and the FA cannot interfere too much.
Here, the Football Association also sent a major signal to all clubs: management of wage arrears next year will not be as “lenient” as it is now, requiring all teams to resolve wage arrears by the end of December, otherwise, they will not be admitted.
