October 31, According to a previous report by Gazzetta dell’Est, the Austrian-based Red Bull Group is interested in acquiring Serie A team Torino. Preliminary talks regarding the potential acquisition have already taken place. This summer, Red Bull also became Torino’s official energy drink partner.

The Red Bull Group, after successfully acquiring Saitama Squirrels of the J3 League in Japan, now controls a total of 7 teams globally. Apart from holding 10% of Leeds United and 99% of RB Leipzig, the other teams are wholly owned. There were earlier rumors that the Red Bull Group was also looking to enter the South Korean market by acquiring a J1 League team, expanding the group’s global football footprint.

Former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has already confirmed that he will join the Red Bull Group as Global Football Director on January 1, 2025.
