Is it worth it? ESPN: Manchester United's second offer for Branthwaite rejected, Everton demands £70mOn July 9, according to official reports from ESPN, Manchester United’s second offer for Jarrad Branthwaite has been rejected by Everton.

According to sources from ESPN, Manchester United submitted a second offer for Branthwaite, a bid of up to £50 million, which was still rejected by Everton.

Last month, Manchester United made their first offer for Branthwaite, valued at £35 million plus an additional £8 million in variable terms, which was promptly rejected by Everton’s management.

It is understood that Everton values Branthwaite at around £70 million, thus they are unlikely to accept the two offers made by Manchester United.

Worth noting, when Everton signed Branthwaite in 2020, they only spent £1 million. The 22-year-old left-footed central defender played 41 games last season, all as a starter, and contributed three goals, but he failed to make England’s Euro Cup squad.
