Italian media Calciomercato has updated on the injury status of Atalanta striker Scamacca, and due to ideal recovery conditions, he could potentially return as early as the beginning of 2025.
On August 4th this year, during a pre-season friendly match between Atalanta and Parma, the main striker Scamacca suffered a severe injury. The next day, he underwent surgery, with the attending doctor estimating that it would take the Italian at least 6-7 months to fully recover.
However, the latest news from Italian media indicates that Scamacca’s first phase of rehabilitation has gone very smoothly. Originally expected to return in March 2025, he is now anticipated to be back on the pitch by the start of next year. Just one and a half months post-surgery, Scamacca has already begun ball training.
Scamacca’s shortened return time is undoubtedly great news for Atalanta, especially considering the demands of multi-front battles. His timely comeback can significantly alleviate the team’s difficulties in rotating offensive personnel.
