According to Japanese media, former Urawa Reds coach Mihailovic has become a candidate for the position of head coach of the Australian national team.
Recently, following Arnold’s departure from his role as head coach of the Australian national team, the Australian Football Association is in the process of seeking a new head coach. It is reported that the current Shanghai Port coach Muscat, former Melbourne Victory coach Popovic, and former Urawa Reds coach Mihailovic have all been included in the list of candidates for the national team head coach position.
However, Muscat is currently leading Shanghai Port in multi-front battles and is basically uninterested in coaching Australia. Popovic has been unemployed since ending his contract with Melbourne Victory in June this year, while Mihailovic was dismissed by Urawa Reds at the end of August due to poor team performance.
