Ronaldo is an idol to many players, and his national team teammate Joao Felix is no exception. Felix recalled that when he first met Ronaldo, everything felt very surreal, as if he was playing a video game where Ronaldo was one of the characters.
At only 19 years old, Felix told Benfica’s official website: “It felt strange; I had never seen Ronaldo so close in real life before. When I got home, I told my best friend that it felt like you were playing a career mode on a video game, and Ronaldo was an unreal character in it. Training with him really made a dream come true. I don’t even remember what he said that day, because all his focus was on playing football, and that level of concentration felt great.”
“Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe are some of the greatest players in the world. I also admire Kaka and Rui Costa; they have always been my role models, and I aim to be as good as them.”
In the recently concluded European Championship, Felix played alongside Ronaldo for Portugal. However, they were eliminated after losing 3-5 on penalties against France.
