According to journalist Rudy Galetti, Alvaro Morata intends to embark on a new adventure and will depart Atletico Madrid this summer.
The 31-year-old’s contract with Atleti runs until June 2026, but the player has expressed his desire to leave. As per Spanish outlet Relevo, Morata’s release clause stands at €15 million. However, transfer insider Fabrizio Romano claims that both Juventus and Roma have enquired about the striker’s clause, being informed it is set at €12 million.
As per Galetti, Atletico will only let Morata go if his release clause is met, with no room for negotiation. Juventus remains very interested in bringing him back and has inquired about his fitness, while AC Milan has not entered the race for the striker’s signature.
In a previous interview, Morata revealed he turned down lucrative offers last year and intended to discuss his future with Diego Simeone after the Euros.
