Varane, who joined Serie A newcomers Komo this summer, was substituted due to a left knee injury during last week’s Italian Cup match against Sampdoria. Recently, the team’s coach, Fabregas, also spoke about his injury in an interview.
Fabregas stated, “Varane has a problem with his knee; it may take two or three weeks or even a month and a half for him to fully recover. We don’t know how long he will be out right now. Although he did not reveal how long he needs to fully recover, he did say that he is expected to miss at least a month.”
According to the schedule, Komo will face Bologna in the fourth round of the league after the international break, which could mark Varane’s Serie A debut.
